This is the final of at least three attempts to write a song with this title. I really believe that ethics and morality can be simplified to “be nice”, and I think most authorities would agree. However, punishment for offenders often goes unmentioned. I think that if people could just not get worked up about things that don’t affect them, everybody could get along nicely. So from this naive vision you get “don’t be a dick, learn how to deal”. The ending “one two!”s are an intentional reference to the Specials’ “Little Bitch”.
