I was born and raised in Rome
Aqueduct and Colliseum
Gonna eat a lot of food
Then I’ll spend the afternoon
Down at the vomitorium
And the world is fine
Cuz I get what’s mine
So just sit back citizen joy the ride
You know there’s never gonna be a decline
I was born and raised in Rome
Orgies and the gladiators
Slaughter animal or man
Conquer everything we can
We’ll be met as liberators
And the world is fine
Cuz I get what’s mine
So just sit back citizen joy the times
Never bother looking into the signs
Rumble rumble it never tumbles
Cuz this is no time for remaining humble
Yeah we stay hopeful, we’re not in trouble
If you think it’s gonna crumble, it won’t
I was born and raised in Rome
But I wish I was in Athens
My method would be Socratic
Over here I look eratic
Tell me everything that happens
And the world is fine
Cuz I get what’s mine
So just sit back citizen joy the wine
We’re striving for the obscolescence of mind
I was born and raised in Rome
Aqueduct and Colliseum
I got people in my home
Who were born and raised in Rome
And I don’t really wanna be ‘em

Big Crash

Why should you be different than anyone before?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
Why be disappointed by anticipating more?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
You’re the latest in the line
A similar design, you’re a copy
Don’t wanna fool myself
By thinking that this time
You’re everything that I have been wanting
Don’t wanna fool myself
But people have a funny way
Of only seeing what they want to see
And people have a funny way
Of happily embracing fantasy
Why should you be different than anyone before?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
Why be disappointed by anticipating more?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
I hope that you’ll be great
But it’s never worth the wait in the long run
Don’t wanna fool myself
So I won’t take the bait
It’s easier to say you’re that the wrong one
Don’t wanna fool myself
But people have a funny way
Of only seeing what they want to see
And people have a funny way
Of happily embracing fantasy
Why should you be different than anyone before?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
Why be disappointed by anticipating more?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
Oh with expectations minimized
I’m ready to be pleasantly surprised
Why should you be different than anyone before?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash
Why be disappointed by anticipating more?
It’s always build up, build up - big crash

How much money is enough
To make you never give a fuck
You’re selfish but it’s normal so why question?
Disregard those equal rights
Cuz have you seen the rising price
Of gas around the corner at the station
Everybody’s got their causes, but nothing else affects us as a whole
The wallet’s all that matters, so please don’t get distracted from the goal
Fix up the economy
And nevermind equality
The money always supercedes the morals
And while we’re at it, maybe we
Should reestablish slavery
We’d finally beat Asia with cheap labor
A couple hundred dollars would be enough to make me smile wide
The fact that there’s disparity could never hurt my patriotic pride
It’s not diabolical, just economical, sociological stain
I’ll vote for the guy who will make me the richest
So long may the dollar reign

Spoiler Alert

You know it’s happened before
Offenders acting like they’re hurt
When they try it some more and more
Yeah you swallow every word
Powerless yet demanding
Regurgitate the same old scare
Ridiculing the standing
When they’re afraid to leave their chair
Woah-oh no no, Woah-oh no no
They’re pointing a finger
They’re placing the blame
So we point one back at ‘em
We’re doing the same
It’s gonna happen again
They’re goddamn stubborn as a mule
I’d like to see ‘em torn limb from limb
Dissected never fit to rule
When you’re stuck in the middle
You’re at the mercy of extremes
And you’re title means little
Ripping open at the seams
Woah-oh no no, Woah-oh no no
They’re pointing a finger
They’re placing the blame
So we point one back at ‘em
We’re doing the same
When you should extend an open palm
Instead you grip the atom bomb controls
When you think that better isn’t bad
It’s you leading the mission at the polls
Woah-oh no no, Woah-oh no no
They’re pointing a finger
They’re placing the blame
So we point one back at ‘em
We’re doing the same

Different people, different laws
I think we tried that once
Do you remember Jim Crow?
Wasn’t all that long ago
Different names for different folks
Punishment for different strokes
We’re one way so we get this
You’re like that so you get shit
We owe you nothing so be thankful for it
Deserve rights just like the rest
So why settle for less?
Separation, never fair
No matter how they compare
Sanctity don’t mean a thing
It’s just a fucking ring
It’s the priveledges that count
Would you say with your own mouth
We stay in and everyone else will stay out
It doesn’t seem legal, this treatment of people
The “liberal” side is saying separate but equal
But you know there’s certain rights
That still won’t be applied
But we’re only 3 to 5 percent of voters
So why try?
