This song is based on “Judge Not”, the first song Bob Marley ever recorded. I had his song stuck in my head at work one night and I just started writing new lyrics. This song is about people who have moral standards that might differ from the mainstream, but won’t actually speak out if they think it might affect their reputation. They’d prefer other people do the work for them, so they can skate by with their hands clean.
