I attended a town hall meeting hosted by a US congressman, arranged to discuss health care reform. As you’re already aware, these attract throngs of passionate mental patients, many of whom should’ve moved to the Republic of Texas by now. They have their own majorly skewed version of reality, and they won’t even consider the facts of the real world if it’s at odds with what Glenn Beck told them last night. They feel their movement is powerful and meaningful, in the same vein as the anti-war movement in the 1960’s, yet they rally around corporate greed and preying on the disadvantaged. Despicable people, the whole lot of ‘em.
