This is a Leftover Crack cover! I’ve been meaning to cover this song for a long time, and I finally had a good excuse to. This song is a little more violent than what I would write, but it lines up so perfectly with the rest of the themes of the album. The lyrics pretty much speak for themselves. I changed “hardcore music” to “reggae music” in the second chorus, because it felt more relevant to me and to the song itself. The chorus of the original song is punk, but I recorded a dancehall beat for it instead. The music in this song is ridiculously poppy and light, which is pretty sweet. The vocals are really floaty and almost Big D-ish in places, because I couldn’t sing it the way the original was. It just wouldn’t fit.
