This was the last song I wrote for the album. I guess I aimed for something Bob Dylan-esque, but less of that shows through than I expected. I guess it’s about having on and off days, up and down days, good and bad days. I go through periods where I’m on top of the world, full of ideas, bouncing off the walls, outgoing, and writing nonstop. I also have periods where I can’t be bothered to do anything all day, I can’t distract myself from sadness, I don’t have the patience to deal with people, and - worst of all - I can’t dig myself out of it by writing about it. This is about embracing the ride.
